This wasn't a necro.

A necro is finding an old, dead thread, and replying to it - attempting to "bring it back to life".  Problem is, a necro doesn't add anything useful.  Something like "Woah, that's true" or whatever, that's a necro.  This was actually building on and continuing a discussion.

So therefore I did nothing wrong? I r confuzzled.  Huh

No, this was very strange for me. I usually sleep like a log. Don't really mind though.

um CA, word of advice as Rend did to me, its best if you dont necro old posts, it wont make you more popular........
This isn't the same thing vamp. You revived 3 topics at once, just to basically say 'me too'.
CA added some decent conversation to this thread, there is a difference.

Garoth- Well thats good cause if you had dreams like that regularly I'd suggest seeing a counselor or a hypnotist.

i believe it has to do with something about how your brain reacts or soemthing, like if you watched fluffy bunnies all day (oooh I do), you get dreams related to bunnies, your mental state is always related to how you behave in sleep, but let me look it up, I have some stanford buds who are getting a minor in this XD

I find that what I think about during the night while asleep is related to whatever I was thinking about immediately before falling asleep. As such, if my mind was empty of thoughts before slipping away, I do not dream of anything of significance and wake up refreshed and at ease... most of the time at least.

Well, he mentioned my name so I had to say something Smiley

About the sleep, I sleep just fine most nights. I watch tv or play a game until I get tired, and I just doze off no problems at all.
Occasionally I have trouble getting to sleep if it's stuffy in the house, but other then that I never have problems.
I rarely have dreams either, if I do I never remember them. Oh well.

Rend- Normally people don't have dreams they can't remember or just parts of it. This happens because to cause a dreaming state your brain releases a hormone called DMT which stands for Dimethyltryptamine. Your Pineal Gland (Third Eye) produces under great amounts of stress or adrenaline. In humans its found in trace amounts but, it can be extracted from plants in higher quanities I'd suggest you stay away from that though. Enough digressing so basically what happens is when your dreaming your under a trip of DMT the reason you don't dream is because you brain is not producing enough DMT or your just partial to it. Hope that helps any I don't really know to much about it but, I'm sure you can find some facts about it on the Internet or books. Hope it helps =)

In fact, sometimes it does. Dreams are mostly a summary of what you thought of during the day, so if you feel lots of stress during the day, you'll most likely have dreams based on stress, telling you to make a change so you will not feel so much stress.

Dreaming is such a great way to get out of the daily stress of living. Just make sure you know when you're dreaming, as when waking up during a good dream brings high disappointment.

Huh.

That's funny.  I thought the inability to dream was an indicator of psychosis.

Mostly when people think that they can't dream it's just that they forget the dreams they have had.

You dream at every REM cycle, which happens roughly every 3 hours as you sleep -- so you'll have 2-3 of them. You only remember dreams that happen during the REM cycle was ongoing when you happened to wake up.

And I suppose that chemistry blah blah was about why you don't remember so well Smiley
