On the Wednesday after next (i.e. the 25th), some bloke from Virgin Media is coming round to install the necessary hardware to connect my home to their broadband service. At any time between now and then, likely tomorrow, Pipex, who provide my current service, may cut me off from you lovely people on the grounds that we haven't, apparently, been keeping up with our payments (we pay by direct debit, and the money's certainly there: apparently they just haven't taken it). Pipex support has generally been useless, hence why we are changing providers rather than sorting it out, but the upshot is I may suddenly disappear for a week and a half and I can't be quite certain about when. Around about Monday after next (23rd) I'll be going back to school so one way or another I'll be able to get on IRC again, but I may be absent for the entire week prior to that and somewhat limited by the school's screening for a few days more (of course they
say Wednesday, but I can't help mentally appending "...ish").
I'm not going to be too enthusiastic about finding alternative ways of getting to you, because my mum already thinks I'm addicted to the internet, but you never know.
So uh... see you guys then. Don't fall apart without me
(of course, given that the money IS there, it's entirely possible that pipex will get their act together and never disconnect us... if this ultimately turns out to be the case, sorry to uhm get your hopes up).
