Hello Mercenaries' Guild.

My name is Angus, and I am 16 years old. I live in Australia, South Australia to be exact. I've been playing Tremulous for about two months now, and I have come to admire your guild's policies. I have a strong sense of the rules, and I have been occasionally warned about TKing because a player was sabotaging the team.

Before I started playing Tremulous, I had heard many good opinions about it, and I think that the balance is superb, especially considering the completely different attributes and abilities of each team. I am a modestly good player, but am not especially talented.

I got into computers in a big way when I was six, when dad showed me how to play games and install programs on our state-of-the-art (for that time) windows 3.1 computer. I can't remember the exact details, but it was a very high-end model. All through primary school and high school, I've sought to learn more about computers, and hope to study as a software engineer in University. I have some experience in Basic and C++, as well as Javascript and Java.

My favourite server is Tremwars #1, which is the server with the lowest ping for me, which is around 100. I can handle an amount of lag, but I will not play on servers with pings of over 400, and avoid servers with pings over 300.

As 1 MGR to another good luck on your application as I hope that they accept you. I haven't seen you on once though do you play on PT 1-3 or BG/Fragify? These servers tend to host some good players which really upped my skill level. If you get a decent ping there I would love to play a few rounds with you, you seem like it'd be a blast.

I'm not sure if many of our members frequent the servers that you frequent so you would also have a hard time meeting us there. I recommend you also interact with us via IRC. I also visit the development server occasionally. The Maps are Awesome- especially the easter eggs.

I'll definately take your advice. Which servers do MGs generally play on?

Angus- Try to stop in on PureTremulous 1-3 and BG or Fragify. Those are the most frequented servers by MG Fragify and BG not as much like you'll occasionally find someone. And they like to go on the Dev server occasionally too.

We've had this nice fellow that goes by AngusYoung around here and on the Pure Tremulous forums. He applied for MG at one point to but was pretty messed up back then with his addiction to energy drinks. He eventually quit and has been a much calmer and more literate person since. Good improvement.

Very, very bad for you. Not many people know you CAN get addicted to caffeine.

I drink lots of energy drinks, and they've not really affected me much. Perhaps it relies on the person in question. :O

It's not that random. They are hovels. And you get them because tradition says so.

Fair enough. Also, people who could not see I was joking in the last thread are stupid. I am a High School student, and have nothing but respect for teachers, especially of the sciences. I wish I could convey my message in a less blunt way, but...
