Anyone here play on a laptop?

I've started playing on my laptop and it is crazy using a touchpad.  Guess it's going to take a bit to get used to it.

I just started playing on my laptop and don't have a usb mouse yet.  Also, often I'm playing somewhere where I can't realistically use mouse.

You should probably get some kind of hard flat surface...like a desk, or maybe a kitchen table. Oh, you should also get a mouse, because no-one in their right mind would play a FPS seriously with a touch-pad. Even the keyboard nubs are better than touchpads.

Yeah, even with the mouse bit it's really hard to play on a graphics tablet. Must be the different speeds it moves the pointer at.. Or something

Thats very much what I found. The mouse moves a LOT faster. With my sens at 30, it gets out of hand. If you set the sens down a bit, it helps, but overall, the difference in speed between menus and the game gets annoying.

Im on a laptop as well. Ive had to play with trackpad a few times when i forgot to bring my mouse.
My laptop is crap though, it overheats after about 3 straight hours of trem

You should see mine after maybe half an hour on super performance, it can burn your leg.

Windows XP actually does perform pretty well(if your not an idiot), Linux just has superior performance. I have tried SUSE(and still have a lot to learn) and Windows just absolutely massacred it in performance(I still have to enter the ATI driver mess), battery life, and startup time.
