Any tactic that is not obvious:

Easy tyrant escape: jump right when it hits you and you get a nice hard hit of knockback
Better aim/sniping: lower your resolution (has mixed results with people)

Tactic: When trying to run from a tyrant, assume there is no hope and pray there is a few easy credits you can kill to repay the large loadout you just wasted.

I have not experienced either, if the dretch/goon see's your crouching an adjusts their aim, the same amount of damage is dealt.

Except that headshots are impossible when the human is crouching. We can try next time I see you.

As I recall, headshots are the top 3rd of your hitbox.
That third will be a lot smaller when your crouching.
Unless there is a bug...

Unless it is a headpounce.

David: it may be a bug, but after a lot of testing (a couple months ago), Deconner and I came up to the conclusion that it is impossible. Perhaps the hitbox just kinda sinks into the rest of it. It seems like it is all torso. It also may not be a bug, it may be on purpose.

No, pouncing damage is not affected by what part of the hitbox it hits - it all counts as torso hits.

Guess we will have to test the crouch one sometime to see if a headshots can't be done, just mess up the persons aim, or are nearly impossible.

Wall walking dretches can lift grangers, tyrants, etc.

Crouching with light amour does heavy damage, but doesn't kill from my exerience and not crouching kills(may have to test it again)
