Hmm, that's a great idea. I was thinking that there is so much wifi these days that you can probably drive around and get radio...

But now that you put it that way, that is much better! And probably more fun to set up.

Add a pinch of cleverness, and your care will cache internet radio when its parked in front of your house, for easy listening later.

I've thought of doing something similar, mostly because I want to setup an APRS system in the truck anyway so the computer is doing other things too.  Now if I could find that box of round tuits I left here somewhere...

That is if you're willing to put anything of value in your car...Financially we make it a point to not drive any car we would be bummed out about if we totaled it.  I would much rather get a mediocre mp3 player and and line it in than put something in my car permanently.

Sorry folks, the best 80s heavy metal band is, without question, AC/DC, just for Back in Black alone.  They were so good, people who didn't like heavy metal had their songs memorized.  I'd have to say they were my favorite.

As for Nirvana, I didn't like them before he offed himself, and I liked them even less in the sales hurricane that occurred after he died.  Kurt seemed utterly unremarkable before his death aside from leading a band with a few hit songs.  However, I still shudder when I think of the media shitstorm that occurred after his death.  You would have thought MTV had changed their name to NTV.  Mainstream media had never especially appealed to me, and how the media treated that whole thing cemented my disdain for them.  You would have thought Elvis had been found alive, and then promptly killed.  I admit curiosity with sales charts to see how album sales were affected/impacted by his death.  Sorry if this seems cruel, I just don't like him.

Noone has mentioned Mötley Crüe!  Too Fast for Love and Shout at the Devil were great albums.  Everything after that sucked.

Wow, someone who shares my feelings about Kurt Kablam.  I loved getting the stares from people as I played "Bowie, David - The Man Who Sold The World" and they'd say "Wow dude, who did a cover of that?"

*refrains from Cobaining them*

DOH!  I missed it, sorry Munroe.  I saw Pantera and glossed over the rest  Lips Sealed

Yeah, I occasionally saw Nirvana before the cobaining.  Afterward they were FRICKIN EVERYWHERE!  Every radio station had them in rotation for years, MTV played them relentlessly (though vanishing, MTV still had meaning back then Wink )  To me, it immediately screamed manufactured legend.

I can't believe noone mentioned W.A.S.P.! :-P

Yes, those are saw blades :-P

I didn't consider AC/DC as an 80's metal band. They started in the 70's and played all the way up through til the mid-90's. Their last (I think) album was Ballbreaker, which was pretty good. It had a subtle hint of sell-out, (I reeeeaaaallly hate to admit it.) Motely Crue was pretty good, Helter Skelter being overlooked (on their Theatre of Pain album.)

Drat. You use your wii to write forum posts? That's really stupid. The text input is annoying. It's like typing with one really twitchy finger.

You can plug in USB keyboards now and use them to type. It's actually pretty cool.
