Yeah, about that... I noticed that when I visit
www.mercenariesguild.net and log in, I see on the right hand side some useful links, among them is "show unread posts since last visit." Thinking to myself, "oh, how helpful! I shall avail myself of this most useful link!" I clicked on the link, only to find to my dismay, that I could indeed view said posts as normal, with the glaring difference that they had been stripped of their CSS and were therefore most confusing to read.
The url of the aforementioned link is thus:
http://www.mercenariesguild.net/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,25/action,unread/lang,en/...and I'm no web developer, but I have a feeling that the offending part is the "/option,com_smf/Itemid,25/" as this part also appears in the example URL given in the first post of this very topic.
While I'm sure that there is a very good reason for providing one's unread posts without their accompanying CSS, it is most annoying to those of us regular folk who view the webforums through the website itself, rather than some obscure console based-sorcery or in the minute screen of a cell phone (although why anyone would wish to torture themself so is beyond me). Perhaps this could be changed so that the link in question points to a normal webpage, CSS included, and those who wish to view their unread posts in a more esoteric and/or "manly" fashion can have their own link?
This would be most appreciated, seeing as it would render an otherwise unusable feature rather useful again.
