In that light, so is mute (muting the other team so they can't communicate), or kick (just kicking the good players), or really any admin command. A bad admin is going to abuse commands no matter what the command's original intent was, and stupid people are likely to keep playing on those servers regardless. Smart server owners who know to only pick admins they can trust should be able to see the benefit of these commands and subsequentially implement them. If not, then it's their loss.

I agree, it makes little sense. However, I think that this is the state of the matter and unless we make an attempt (and show others that we're making an attempt) to perfect these tools and make it as foolproof as possible, it will not be included.

However, I don't really think that it is important for us to "fix" (ie break) things like !revert. If Timbo doesn't want it in trunk, then there will always be an alternative and better qvm for Lakitu/MG to distribute.

Another possibility is that no one with authority has yet decided to consider it, which, strangely enough, is common in this group...

When SVN still somehow doesn't include things that are completely common sense, like Say_Admins or Flood Protection, I don't really have much confidence them to commit things that need to be committed.
